THE LEISURE PARK: LE GRAND DÉFI
Le Grand Défi leisure park offers a wide choice of activities to enjoy with family or friends during your holiday in the Vendée. From tree-top adventure courses to quickjump, paintball, galactic laser, orienteering, disc golf and pony rides, there is something for everyone.
You will need a full day to explore this park, set in a unique natural setting in Saint-Julien-des-Landes, around a 30-minute drive from the campsite.
To help you make the most of your day at the park, there are plenty of facilities available: covered picnic areas, 3 large car parks, food outlets nearby (independent of the park) and lockers for your belongings (free of charge, or with a €0.50 or €1 deposit).
Activities for the whole family
During the holidays, the whole family will be spoilt for choice at Le Grand Défi, a large open-air park with activities for every age group. To start with, little ones aged over 2 can safely try a tree-top adventure course, for example, or climb onto a pony for a lovely ride through the forest.
From the age of 6, your children can try Disc Golf, with its 18-hole course, if they would rather not take part in the orienteering game out in the greenery with their new friends. For even more fun, there is also a playful orienteering trail for children aged 2 to 6, set up by the park in an idyllic natural setting. The explorGame is open from the age of 8 and features 10 challenges to complete in the forest, using a virtual format. Against the clock, it’s 90 minutes of suspense, thinking and logic!
Get together, form a team and off you go for a game of Paintball or Galactic laser. Defend your base and choose the right strategy to beat your opponents, who are just as determined to win!
Finally, there is also the Grand Défi option for budding adventurers of all levels who want to put their body and mind to the test with plenty of challenges, in a friendly, family-oriented place in the Vendée.

THE DIFFERENT COURSES
- 10 “family” courses and 3 “zip line” courses from the age of 6. These are very family-friendly courses, so children and adults alike can enjoy tree climbing. They are open from the age of 6, and children will love trying the zip lines over the ponds!
- 7 “adventure” courses from the age of 9 for experienced climbers. These courses let you travel through the trees and glide over the ponds on long zip lines.
- 4 “sports” courses for ages 12 and over, for those who are in great shape. Made for thrill-seekers who love long zip lines high above the ponds.
- 3 “challenge” courses for ages 14 and over, for very sporty climbers, and above all for tree-top adventure experts with a good head for heights. These courses reach almost 20 metres high and include some very demanding obstacles.
COURSES FOR LITTLE ONES
Courses for the youngest adventurers (from age 2), the only ones of their kind in Vendée. Children move around the course with their parents, who remain responsible for them. Height: 60 cm to 2 m. The little ones will discover the joys of tree-top adventure: monkey bridge, zip line, luge and more.
