Flower Camping Au Bois des Biches in Vendée is a 4-star campsite inspired by local legends, ideal for a family holiday in nature. Located in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, close to the beaches of the Pays de Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, the campsite welcomes you to a natural setting in the heart of a 10-hectare pine forest, for a stay with: a heated water park from opening day, with water slides, outdoor pools, an indoor pool and a covered water area for the little ones; a restaurant and bar; a spa (sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi); a fitness room; a tennis court; a minigolf course; bike hire. In July and August: kids’ clubs (ages 3 to 12), activities for teenagers, family entertainment during the day and evening shows, plus an Escape Game.

Fancy relaxing by the water? Our campsite in Vendée with a swimming pool has a large water park with 4 pools. You’ll find la Baie, with an indoor pool and two outdoor pools heated from the day the campsite opens, and la Source, a covered, heated water area for the little ones. Water slides will delight older children and teens alike: fast slides or a spiral slide? Try both! The youngest can enjoy the paddling pool at la Source, a children’s water area made for playing and getting to know the water. There are plenty of spots around the heated pool where you can settle into a sun lounger and relax in peace. In summer, our lifeguards keep watch over the pools so you can enjoy every moment of your swim.
And of course, in July and August our entertainment team organises water activities such as aqua aerobics, water polo and lots of games in our pools.

Accommodation at our campsite in Vendée
Discover our 364 comfortable holiday rentals in Vendée, welcoming from 1 to 10 people for your family holiday. Mobile homes, chalets and fully equipped tents are set on spacious, clearly marked pitches surrounded by trees. You can also discover our new Quartier Lodge Nature, with unusual lodge cabins offering every comfort.
And for fans of traditional camping, we have 20 pitches with their own private bathrooms and a kitchen area for even more comfort. Spacious and shaded by pine trees, they leave you plenty of room to set up your tent, caravan or motorhome.
The pitches are spacious and well separated from one another, which is very welcome. The setting among the pines is pleasant and restful. We also found the mobile home spacious and comfortable.
The team is friendly, smiling and always available, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

For family holidays in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, our campsite puts children at the heart of the adventure. In July and August, the kids’ clubs welcome your curious little ones in the morning or the afternoon: crafts, treasure hunts, walks, visits to the mini farm…
- The Cercle des Explorateurs, led by a qualified activity leader, looks after children aged 3 to 5,
- the Cercle des Magiciens is for 6 to 12 year olds, with adventures to share with friends
- For the little ones, Le Nid, our drop-in nursery, offers occasional childcare. It’s ideal for taking a breather while staying close to your child.
- Several times a week, teenagers get together for the Instants Ados: a photo rally, a werewolf evening, or football, handball, basketball and beach volleyball tournaments.
Activities are organised during the day and in the evening, from late June to late August, making our campsite in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez with children’s activities a true family destination.
Days here are lively, and when night falls, calm returns beneath the pines to guarantee peaceful nights for all our guests. Evenings finish at around 23:30, so you can enjoy the campsite atmosphere to the full while respecting everyone’s peace and quiet. It’s a family campsite in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez where you can have fun all day and then truly rest.
You can also enjoy plenty of activities in nature: walks or bike rides along forest paths, family outings and freshwater fishing in the River La Vie, just a few minutes from the campsite. A lovely spot for families, with or without children, our campsite is here to help even before you arrive, with a complete guide of good practice to help you prepare for your camping stay.
Looking for a moment of calm in a peaceful setting? Enjoy the spa in Vendée right on the campsite. For the length of a session, unwind in the jacuzzi and enjoy the benefits of the sauna and hammam. In July and August, you can extend your break by booking a treatment with our wellness massage therapist. Book at reception. The wellness area can be booked for private use from €50 for up to 4 people, for a moment out of time in the heart of Vendée.
Top-notch campsite! Just incredible. It was our first camping holiday and we loved it! Lots of activities on offer, with shows and entertainment every evening. The campsite’s entertainment team is lovely, and so is the team at reception.

The campsite serves traditional cooking at the restaurant. Looking out over the pool, you can tuck into moules-frites, salads or burgers, and enjoy the dishes of the day, with meat and fish freshly delivered from the market.
If you’re in more of a hurry, the snack bar offers takeaway at lunchtime and in the evening. You’ll be served in moments and can spend more time enjoying the campsite’s activities. Paninis, pizzas, kebabs, hot dogs and more: all the favourites for a quick bite on the go.
And don’t forget our bar, for a break with family or friends over a cocktail, an ice cream or a crêpe.
The food and drink outlets are open throughout the season, from April to September.

Exploring the Vendée from the campsite in Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez
Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez and the Vendée offer plenty to enjoy on holiday, with places that show off all the charm and authenticity of our region, close to Saint-Jean-de-Monts and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
Among them: stroll around the fishing port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, follow the Corniche Vendéenne past the Trou du Diable and the Cinq Pineaux, discover the Marais Salants de la Vie salt marshes, or take a boat to the Île d’Yeu, a wild and unspoilt island.
Right next to the campsite, you’ll find the Atlantic Ocean and beaches within easy reach by bike: Sion beach, with its many water activities; the vast stretch of sand at Plage des Demoiselles, ideal for children; and Plage des Mouettes and Plage de la Pège, tucked away in the quiet of the dunes.
All around, the Vendée’s heritage awaits: its food, with Saint-Gilles sardines, oysters and Préfou (garlic bread); its traditions, with the Bourrine du Bois Juquaud, a traditional thatched cottage; and its one-of-a-kind attraction, the Puy du Fou theme park!

What time do we need to leave our accommodation?
Accommodation must be vacated by 10:00 at the latest on the day of your departure. After you leave, we check the condition of your accommodation and, if it has been left clean, we will destroy your deposit cheque. If there is any damage, or if the accommodation has not been left clean, we will contact you.
Is there Wi-Fi at the campsite?
The whole campsite has Wi-Fi coverage, so you can connect at any time from the terrace of your accommodation or from your pitch. Information and packages are available at reception and on our website in the services section.
What is the latest time we can arrive at the campsite?
You can arrive at the campsite until 23:45. From midnight, the automatic barrier is closed to limit traffic. If you arrive after reception has closed (18:00 from April to June and in September; 20:00 in July and August), please let us know by email, phone or through the Flower Campings app so that our team can prepare for your arrival. You will find an envelope in your name at the reception entrance.
Are pets allowed at the campsite?
Pets are welcome at the campsite. They must be kept on a lead and must not be left alone in accommodation or on a pitch. In July and August, pets may be accepted in certain accommodation ranges, on request to reception when you book your stay. All pets must be tattooed or microchipped and vaccinated, with an up-to-date health record. Please note that category 1 and 2 dogs are not permitted.
