THE RAIL BIKE RIDE
The Commequiers rail bike is perfect for little ones and grown-ups alike. In twos, threes or more, ride 14 kilometres of railway from Commequiers to Coëx on a 2-hour trip.
The rail bikes (draisines) are powered by the leg power of two passengers. Each one can carry up to 5 people, including 1 child under 12. The price shown is per rail bike, however many passengers are on board!
Don’t forget your trainers (more practical for pedalling), a hat, sun cream and a bottle of water for a pleasant ride.

For safety reasons, our four-legged friends are not allowed on board the rail bikes.
DISCOVER THE COUNTRYSIDE INLAND FROM SAINT-GILLES-CROIX-DE-VIE
The rail bike takes you on an unusual and original ride through pleasant surroundings.
You’ll discover the countryside around Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, pass the old station at Saint-Maixent-sur-Vie and cross the River Vie on a small viaduct made of riveted metal girders, just like the Eiffel Tower.
This route is a lovely way for the whole family to enjoy the charm of the Vendée bocage, with a cheerful atmosphere all along the way.
